Components of virtual learning environments: an analysis in venezuelan public universities
Abstract
From an approach within the interpretive paradigm, this article presents an analysis of the components of virtual learning environments in Venezuelan public universities. Taking into account the basic principles of the theoretical model, some central themes related to five components according to Weller (2017) are reviewed, using direct observation as a technique for obtaining information as a process that nourishes
phenomenological investigations, through a guide structured interview, which served to inspect the data obtained through photographic recording. All of this supported by the hermeneutic interpretation process for the reconstruction of meanings, allowing us to highlight aspects related to the design and research of virtual environments conceived as spaces for the development of teaching and learning processes specifically in the School of Industrial Engineering of the University of Zulia.
