Infeccion por el streptococo beta hemolítico del grupo b en recién nacido. Reporte de un caso
Abstract
Se describe un caso de infección en un recién nacido, en donde el Streptococo beta hemolítico del grupo B fue aislado de sangre y líquido cefalorraquídeo. El origen de la sepsis y meningitis que presentó el neonato no pudo ser determinada. La recuperación del paciente fue total, no habiéndose observado hasta los momentos secuelas neurológicas. En este estudio se hacen también consideraciones y descripciones de algunas de las técnicas empleadas para la identificación y clasificación de estos microorganismos.
