La conciliación de la estética y la ética en el arte animalista contemporáneo
Resumen
Este artículo aborda el problema de las relaciones entre estética y ética en el arte animalista. El punto de partida es la afirmación del arte como ámbito adecuado para tratar el maltrato y la crueldad que los animales reciben por parte de los seres humanos. Los animales se usan por un arte sin intención animalista y con pretensiones simbólicas, o por un arte propiamente animalista. El problema ético principal que se plantea afecta al arte animalista que, con la intención de defender éticamente a los animales, los trata cruelmente. El método del trabajo es la interpretación hermenéutica de textos y obras de arte. El objetivo es aclarar el problema de la conciliación de lo estético y lo ético en el arte animalista actual. Se concluye que la solución al problema de la relación entre estética y ética reside en que lo estético sea algo interior a lo ético.
