The objective of the research was to evaluate the nutritional status and cardiovascular risk of students from the school of nutrition and dietetics. The study was descriptive, cross-sectional and field. The sample was represented by 189 students of both sexes, aged between 18-35 years, obtained by random sampling. Data collection was by direct observation through a survey, and data processing by descriptive statistics. The nutritional assessment was developed through anthropometry, dietetics and socioeconomics. Cardiovascular risk was assessed by the Fuster-Bewat scale. The anthropometric result showed a predominance of normal nutritional status 59%. The percentage of adequacy of calories and macronutrients was within the very low values, 43% belong to stratum III. Cardiovascular risk reported an intermediate cardiovascular health 53%. In conclusion, although the students presented a normal anthropometric diagnosis, there were deficits in consumption according to the % of adequacy, as well as multiple factors that condition cardiovascular risk, among which nutritional factors stand out.
2024-12-26T00:15:22+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Hendrik Rafael Márquez Luengo, Celin Ramirez Wanda Esther, Chirinos Castro Deimary Paola, González González Elimar Raquel https://produccioncientificaluz.org./index.php/redieluz/article/view/43158Determining factors of user satisfaction in health centers: Role of service quality2024-12-29T02:21:32+00:00Mónica Elizabeth Espinoza Orellanadramonik21@yahoo.es
User satisfaction is considered as an attitudinal response and value judgment that the user generates after encountering or interacting with the service. Objective: identify the factors that most frequently influence user satisfaction in health centers. Method: Descriptive research with documentary, retrospective, non-experimental design. Through a review of the literature available in different search engines such as Elsevier, Pubmed, Scielo and Google Scholar. Those articles from the last eight years were prioritized. 8 articles were selected from the various databases. Results and Discussion: from a multidimensional perspective, various factors that influence satisfaction have been grouped, these include individual factors, factors related to care characteristics, factors related to communication during admission and family/social factors. Conclusions: Satisfaction with health services is a multidimensional concept that is influenced by subjective factors, such as previous experiences, future expectations and the user's social context. This complexity makes its analysis difficult, but also highlights its importance as a tool to generate information that optimizes the management of health resources and responds more effectively to the needs of patients.
2024-12-26T02:26:20+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Mónica Elizabeth Espinoza Orellanahttps://produccioncientificaluz.org./index.php/redieluz/article/view/43159Factors that determine the presence of depression, anxiety and stress in relatives of patients with addictive substance use who attend the emergency department of the psychiatric hospital of Maracaibo, Zulia state2024-12-29T02:21:34+00:00Douglas E, Parra Ldouglasparradirector@gmail.com
Factors affecting depression, anxiety and stress in family members of patients with addictive substance use who attend the emergency room of the Psychiatric Hospital of Maracaibo, Zulia. The growing concern about the impact of drug use on the mental health of caregivers is highlighted. The research, with a quantitative and non-experimental approach, used the DASS-21 questionnaire to assess the levels of depression, anxiety and stress. The results indicate that 85% of family members present symptoms of moderate depression, and 90% report severe stress. In addition, 62% of respondents rate their anxiety as moderate, reflecting the emotional burden they face. Psychosocial, psychological and biological factors are identified as key determinants in the well-being of caregivers. The findings suggest that the high level of stress and anxiety in family members highlights the need for psychological support. Research shows how caring for patients with addictions deeply affects their loved ones, who require attention and resources to manage their situation. In conclusion, it is essential to address the emotional problems of caregivers to improve their quality of life and, therefore, that of the patients. It is recommended to implement psychological support programs to mitigate the impact of stress and anxiety on family members.
2024-12-26T15:20:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Douglas E, Parra Lhttps://produccioncientificaluz.org./index.php/redieluz/article/view/43160Prevalence of preterm newborn born at the León Becerra Camacho Hospital: PERIOD 2016-2023. Its propagation is carried out either sexually through seeds or asexually using cuttings, layering, or grafting, particularly to ensure optimal development and growth of the plant. As a biotechnological alternative, the use of a natural phytohormone (auxin) derived from lentil extract has been explored to support root development and growth in cacao seedlings. Studies conducted on different treatments, including T1 (control), T2 (lentil extract), and T3 (urea), demonstrated that the best results were obtained with the lentil extract (T2). This treatment resulted in an average root length of 47 cm, six roots per seedling, and leaf length of 23 cm in cacao seedlings. Lentil extract, which contains auxin phytohormones, proved effective when applied during the growth and development stages of cacao seedlings. This model is based on the identification and development of the necessary capabilities for each job, promoting a quantifiable and measurable competency profile. The research reveals that there is a lack of training and instruction among managers, which affects human resources management. Although 80% of the staff believes that the human resources management dimensions are present, weaknesses are identified in the current policies that govern human resources management. A model is proposed that not only complies with administrative processes, but also considers the social responsibility of the organization towards its employees. The implementation of this model is essential to raise the quality of work and guarantee an effective administrative approach.
